HENNESSY: UNSHATTERED
For Hennessy’s partnership with the NBA, Droga5 commissioned Victor Solomon, an artist who designed several of the league’s greatest trophies, to create a one-of-a-kind backboard comprised of broken glass reminiscent of shattered backboards.

To tell the story of this basketball inspired art, we collaborated with director Derek Cianfrance to create a film titled: Unshattered. In it, Victor watches an NBA fast break unfold from the stands. A dunk ensues cracking the backboard causing the glass to cascade down, which transports Victor to his studio where he begins to work. As Victor puts the finishing touches on his new piece, the glass begins to move upward re-assambling until the backboard on the court is whole once again. In that moment, we realize that we’ve witnessed the inspiration to an artist’s vision. The voice over concludes: When you see the game through Victor Solomon’s eyes, you see the masterpiece in every move. Hennessy. Never Stop. Never Settle.
